Independence Rock

Independence Rock is an important landmark. In 1961 Independence Rock was made into a national historic landmark, and its owned and operated by the state of Wyoming. The rock is somewhat like the rounded enchanted rock of Texas. It’s about 60 miles southwest of Casper, and about 20 miles northeast of Muddy Gap. So as you can see, Independence Rock is a very important landmark.
