Fort Casper was a trading post in 1859 . It was named after Casper Collins. Who was a lieutenant. The post was first used for a toll brige along the Oregon trail. Then in 1865 it was made in to a military post. Fort caper was made right by the organ trail. It’s in the middle of Wyoming.
